Aquileia to Aiello. Length: 16.5 km. This stage runs through the countryside and presents no changes in altitude.

Starting from the Basilica of Aquileia cathedral follow the Via Sacra until you reach a hamlet called Monastero. Keep on walking the country roads along the Natissa river until you reach the small towns of Borgo Sandrigo and Capo di Sopra. Go past them.

Cross the main road leading to Gorizia and reach the village of Perteole. Two more kilometres and you will be in Aiello.
