Once belong to the Celtic kingdom called Noricum by the Ancient Romans, Dogna holds other secrets in its past. Indeed, some years ago the footprints of a Phytosaur were found in this area.

As a consequence an interesting permanent exhibition has been organised in Dogna:"Il triassico nella Valcanale" ("The Triassic period in Valcanale" in Italian).
